Dina Merrill, actress and philanthropist, was a great friend of Orbis.

Throughout her career as an actress she played many roles, and in her personal life she considered herself blessed to have lived many roles - wife, mother, grandmother, professional actress, and activist. A role that she cherished highly was that of a long-term board member for Orbis International, which she called "one of the greatest humanitarian organizations in existence today." She commended Orbis's ability to bring knowledge and skills, hope and sight to people in low-income nations.

Because Orbis's mission to preserve and restore sight was so important to her, she wanted to be sure that Orbis was around long into the future - making a difference in a way that few organizations can. She encouraged everyone to consider joining her in the Visionary Club by making a lifetime gift today to help sustain Orbis's work for future generations. By being a member of this club, she was happy to add the word "visionary" to her list of roles. She said she'd be in good company.
